Our Oceans Are Choking on plastic and the solution is in our hands

Tips and Tricks to move away from consuming more plastic and towards zero waste.

Why is refilling a thing?

Every year around the world we create more than 300 million tonnes of plastic – and half of this is single-use use. One of the worst offenders are plastic bottles, with a million of them sold every minute around the world–a figure that’s expected to grow by 20% by 2021. And yet, we can do our bit to buy bottles just once and carry on refilling them...

What's more the ingredients in some of the household names are pretty gross and contain all sorts of horrid chemicals, animal fats and unsustainable raw materials, which contribute to deforestation. So the 'win' of going zero waste is not just no plastic bottle but the contents are much better for you and the planet too.

At The Circle we have got ideas to help you use less single use plastics....

Vote with your feet! take one of our waste free food bags with you and choose loose fruit and veg instead of those wrapped in plastic. Make a noise to tell the big guys that we don't want plastic, or even better shop at the local farm shop (Grange Farm)!

Made of organic cotton Machine-washable Fairtrade. The bread bag is a waste-free way to shop at the bakery and can be used for fruit and veg too! The lightweight bag is great for fruit and veg as it weighs almost nothing on the scales. The net bag is perfect for shopping at a farmers market.

Simple refill products are as effective as the big commercial brands.

Have you tried mixing bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to clean limescale, sinks and washing machines?
