Is 1.5 still alive?

Not sure how to start this one. The global climate crisis no longer feels close, it feels all-encompassing. The fires in LA, destroying everything people own, the winter storms that have left Brits knee deep in flood water, uninsured and trapped in their homes. The ongoing droughts and the resulting famines. The war for resources: whole countries unable to legally refuse external conglomerate power, due to international law favouring businesses over sovereignty.

Each of us only has so much power and as individuals there are only so many choices we have, which is why coming together collectively is soooooooo important!

As a community we have a stronger voice, we have urgency and we have a connected passion to do everything that we can to stop every 0.1% of additional temperature increase from happening.

And don't get me started on the AMOC collapse, the UK may not actually get hotter as a result of climate change, if the AMOC and other circulatory systems start to fail, then the UK is placed to get a lot colder and dryer, which means we need to plan for both eventualities.

So where from here?

You can be part of the solution. You can reach out to your friends and family and talk about what's happening and why you're concerned. Join your local Eco Hub, buy less, repair more and fight your consumer instincts. None of us are perfect but together we can achieve more than on our own.

Together we are stronger!
